You'll be integral to designing and implementing a strategic platform that powers financial regulatory reporting, influencing the industry standard.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner with Business Analysts to define solutions that meet technical requirements.
2. Contribute to the development of a regulatory reporting application, working on end-to-end platform components.
3. Handle large data aggregations, ensuring seamless functionality.
4. Collaborate with Technology support teams to uphold best practices and high-quality standards.
5. Continuously evaluate and adopt new techniques to improve the platform.
6. Support agile planning sessions, prioritizing features for timely delivery.
7. Offer day-to-day platform support, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Essential Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years with Scala
2. At least 3 years in software development
3. Proven experience in implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices
4. Skilled with SQL and NoSQL databases
5. Agile team experience (Scrum or Kanban)
6. Exposure to large, fast-paced project environments
Desirable Skills:
1. Familiarity with MongoDB, Cassandra, MS SQL Server
2. Functional Programming knowledge
3. Experience with Scala streaming libraries like Akka Streams, ZIO, fs2
4. Jenkins and Ansible expertise
5. Prior work with global teams across time zones
6. Experience with Atlassian suite (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
7. Background in regulatory reporting or capital markets
