FINANCE MANAGER - 12-MONTH TEMP CONTRACT
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our global life science sector team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for leading the general accounting functions and managing team members within the GL function for that region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, annual financial statements, and other required reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
* Team Performance Management: Oversee team performance, maintaining the 'Can do' process, setting SMART goals, and providing ongoing feedback.
* Process Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows. Coordinate daily workflow, including detailed account analysis and general ledger reconciliations.
* GL Function Management: Support GL function transitions in and out of the Shared Business Services (SBS). Manage both local and offshore (Philippines) GL Accounting teams.
* Stakeholder Communication: Develop and refine processes to improve delivery of information to stakeholders. Prepare and analyze cost information for divisional managers.
* Coverage and Support: Provide cover during team absences to meet critical deadlines. Manage and review monthly financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and income statement variance analyses for compliance with US GAAP and corporate guidelines.
* External Relations: Collaborate with external auditors for year-end reviews and statutory audits.
Requirements:
* Accounting Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
* Experience: 5+ years of experience, preferably with Shared Service Centre/Multinational.
* Technical Skills: SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable. Strong computer skills especially MS Office & Qlikview.
