Cloud Services Administrator - (Intermediate) (BBBH3026) Dublin City Centre, Republic of Ireland
Overview of Role
We are currently seeking a Cloud Services Administrator – (Intermediate) for our client based in Dublin 1. You will work with their Operational and Project teams to deliver change into their Azure Network following the client’s standards and principles. Proficiency in Terraform scripting is necessary for this role. You need to have a University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields. It is mandatory that you have the equivalent of 4-6 years’ experience overall as a Cloud Services Administrator. This initially is a contract for twelve months with the option to extend for another year. You will report into the Technology Architecture Manager. This will be a Monday to Friday role and hybrid attendance pattern applies with a current minimum of 50% (subject to revision) of time spent on-site at the office in Dublin 1.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation (with Terraform) to create IaC patterns and modules.
* Utilise modern software DevOps and CI/CD tooling, such as Azure DevOps, Git, YAML, etc., to provision infrastructure resources and prevent configuration drift.
* Investigate and resolve complex cloud infrastructure related issues and recommend and develop solutions to issues and create documentation of reengineering processes as required.
* Manage firewall technologies and develop automation workflows for network firewalls to enhance security protocols and integrate firewall management within the broader security strategy.
* Develop, implement, and enforce Policy-as-Code (PaC) for Azure cloud environments to configure, detect, remediate, and enforce security standards, using security policies based upon CIS/NIST industry benchmarks.
* Support the design, development, implementation and optimisation of standardised CI/CD pipelines for promoting software into higher environments through validation and operational gating, and support teams in adopting DevSecOps automation and best practices.
* Adapting CI/CD processes to meet the needs of a variety of Product teams, ensuring compliance with security and process quality gates.
* Selecting and deploying appropriate DevSecOps tooling to facilitate Continuous Delivery.
* Trial and evaluate new platforms, languages, frameworks and tools for CI/CD flow.
* Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Proven experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure)
* Proven experience in cloud networking automation
* Proven experience in terraform Infrastructure as code automation
* Experience with Azure networking tools (V-WAN, VNET, BGP, etc.)
* Proven understanding of DevSecOps concepts, and has implemented or working knowledge of using those skills in an already existing framework
* Strong passion for end-to-end DevOps automation via CI/CD pipelines to deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and usage of tools (e.g., ADO, GitHub/Actions, Jenkins, or equivalents)
* Proven ability to manage infrastructure environments, configurations, and IaC scripts to support application pattern and workflows via self-service automation of client.
* Strong understanding of the design, implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure in multi-region and multi-cloud environments
* Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, YAML, KQL, other
* Proficiency in waterfall and Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc. delivery methodologies
* Knowledge and experience in testing automation harnesses and frameworks
* Understanding and ability to ensure operational stability and enforcement of security controls via Policy-as-Code and IaC Automation
Qualifications:
* University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields
* UK/EU citizenship or a Stamp 4 visa is an essential requirement
* Fluency in English is essential
