No matter where you work in the Maples Group, you will be part of a global team.The OpportunityThe AVP will be a senior member of the Investment Management team reporting to the Designated Person for Investment management. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring investment strategy and managing client relationships. There may also be the opportunity to work as a part of a Portfolio Management team managing several collective investment schemes.Primary responsibilities will include:Providing oversight of outsourced investment manager relationships;Conducting on-going due diligence on investment managers;Monitoring investment restrictions and performance, reporting and commentary;Liaising with relevant service providers, such as depositaries and administrators;Supporting the Investment Team to prepare board reports and presenting same at board level;Help the Investment Management Team manage deliverables to ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements;Act as AIFM or UCITS ManCo client relationship manager to a number of client accounts;Communicate effectively with stakeholders including clients, regulators, industry associations and team members;What You BringIn addition to a proven work ethic and a desire for professionalism the ideal candidate possesses the following:At least 2-3 years’ experience working in an Asset Manager, Management Company or Credit Institution;Experience of UCITS and AIF vehicles, with experience of alternative asset valuation a plus;A degree level education and/or relevant professional qualification;Be proactive; goals oriented, work well under pressure, and should be willing to take on new activities and challenges;Advanced numerical skills, attention to detail, professionalism with excellent organizational and communication skills;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Benefits & RewardsThe most enduring professional relationships are reciprocal relationships.
