Role: Senior Supply Quality Engineer
Location: Parkmore, Galway (4 days a week on site)

Role: They will liaise with our extensive network of suppliers to execute on quality improvements and cost savings, while managing and implementing Supplier and Medtronic driven changes. Part of a larger team within the supplier quality department, this role would support post-market quality for components.
Day of the life:
1. Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
2. Monitors parts through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur.
3. Builds a collaborative relationship with suppliers to quickly address any non-conformances.
4. Drives appropriate root cause investigations with the supplier. Ensures corrective actions are implemented and monitors for desired results.
5. Drives supplier improvement/corrective actions through the following:
6. Works with the supply base to drive corrective/preventative actions based on feedback from incoming inspection, Medtronic/supplier internal quality metrics, and customer complaints.
7. Coordinates and monitors change control process (including review and approval) to ensure performance, compliance, and regulatory requirements are met and properly documented.
8. Reviews/prepares test plans and reports (qualification, validation) for change and improvement activities (supplier certifications, material/sub-supplier changes, and supplier performed special processes).
Qualifications & Experience:
1. We are looking for a qualified person with Level 8 Degree in Engineering / Science or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience.
2. You are a dynamic team player and leader, able to work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams with a high level of enthusiasm and motivation.
3. Good communication, organizational, presentation, and leadership skills are desirable.
4. You are technically oriented with a strong risk-based approach to problem solving. You can work independently under limited supervision to determine and develop the best approach.
