Job Title: Cell Lead

Reports to: Production Manager
The successful candidate will increase output and fulfill all functions related to the production of company manufactured products in a relevant cell. This includes managing teams, ensuring quality control, and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities:
1. Manufacture batches in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including filling, capping, and sealing as required.
2. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and calibration checks as per schedule.
3. Contribute to lean initiatives such as 6S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
4. Implement effective waste management practices to ensure correct storage and disposal of waste streams.
5. Communicate material requirements to team members and maintain open lines of communication.
6. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety standards.
7. Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with colleagues for Quality Control and Planning to meet demand requirements within allocated timeframes.
8. Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and capacity.
9. Train and mentor production operators and technicians to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
10. Contribute to cross-functional teams and assist with upskilling and cross-training when required.
11. Manage the Work Compass Platform and Time Management System for the cell.
12. Lead daily Performance Issues and Target meetings and contribute to the wider daily production PIT meeting.
13. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements:
1. 3rd level science qualification in chemistry or relevant discipline or minimum ordinary level degree.
2. 3 plus years' experience in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
3. Excellent knowledge and experience of batch chemical manufacturing, ISO17025, 19001:2009, Good Laboratory Practice, and chemistry.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and cross-functional team.
5. Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and organize in a deadline-driven environment.
