Estimator Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at {company}. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are costed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost analyses based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials, and labor requirements, including the preparation of enquiry packages for suppliers.
* Provide accurate and detailed quotes for projects, negotiating and agreeing terms on behalf of OCE.
* Develop and maintain a library of rates and costs for standard modular products.
* Liaise with architects, engineers, and main contractors during the tender stage.
* Take responsibility for project tenders, liaising with clients from enquiry to award stage.
* Value and track variations/dayworks on large-scale projects.
* Log and track enquiries, compile and review drawing packages and specifications.
* Convert enquiries to sales orders and issue work order packages to the design team.
* Develop cost analysis and report on the same following job completion.
* BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS, CONTRACTORS, AND CONSULTANTS.
* Work to a high level of confidentiality.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and EN 1090 standards.
Requirements:
* A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role and a relevant qualification.
* Practical knowledge of steel materials.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
About the Role:
This is a permanent position, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary is open to negotiation and based on experience.
