Medforce are looking for a motivated and skilled Physiotherapist who is interested in working with children who have complex needs. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy programs for children with a range of complex disabilities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support tailored to each child's needs.
This is a full time, 35 hour week spread across Monday - Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with disabilities.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address physical, developmental, and functional needs.
* Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and doctors, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
* Educate and support families on physiotherapy techniques and strategies to continue therapy at home.
* Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
* Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in paediatric physiotherapy.
Qualifications:
* A BSc/MSc degree in Physiotherapy
* Current registration with CORU
* Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
* Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
* A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
