Vacancy - Deputy Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a Deputy Shift Supervisor to join our team based in Marine Terminals Dublin.
Your Role:
* Support the efficient day-to-day running of MTL container operations, forming a strong partnership with the Shift Supervisor to motivate and support your team to deliver business/customer goals and objectives.
* Develop your skillset and abilities to be fully confident managing a shift and all associated tasks, providing cover when the Shift Supervisor is on annual leave or otherwise engaged.
* Adhere to our Safety365 policies, ensuring the safe working of all staff and promoting a safe place to work without risk.
* Liaise with the Maintenance Department and Operations management to ensure all required resources and procedures are in place.
* Ensure plant and equipment is operated in a safe and proper manner.
Responsibilities:
* Role model leadership behaviours, setting standards and influencing others to achieve objectives.
* Ensure relevant working agreements, company policies and procedures are adhered to fairly and consistently.
* Report any anomalies immediately to the Terminal Operations Manager and HR department.
* Lead the promotion of the Irish port operations performance rankings.
Requirements:
* Experience of supervising teams within an operational environment, demonstrating leadership behaviours and the ability to build, support and develop a team.
* Confidence in dealing with day-to-day operational challenges and the ability to handle change in a fast-moving, operational environment.
* An appetite to learn and continually improve your skills and experience.
* Familiarity with Cofano TOS, including accessing, inputting and compiling data.
* Experience of using Microsoft Office.
