Procurement Responsibilities Conduct thorough reviews of existing suppliers to ensure Inform achieves optimal value for money and remains competitive within the premix sector.
Procure raw materials in line with business needs to maintain a strong market position and support ongoing commercial competitiveness.
Identify and select suppliers that align with the company's procurement strategy, ensuring full contract compliance and delivery of agreed services.
Support the development of accurate product forecasts and purchasing budgets, factoring in supplier lead times to generate timely and efficient order quantities.
Participate in regular production meetings, providing supply chain insights and proactively addressing any potential supply constraints.
Plan and forecast procurement needs 6 to 12 months in advance.
Collaborate closely with the Quality Department to clarify material specifications and stay ahead of any regulatory or compliance changes that may impact procurement.
Build strategic relationships with key suppliers, managing performance to encourage continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
Represent the business at international trade fairs to strengthen existing supplier relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities.
Establish and maintain a reliable network of suppliers across key categories, contributing to a resilient and efficient supply chain.
Partner with the CFO to produce and maintain accurate purchasing forecasts and cash flow models, updated annually as part of the strategic budgeting process.
Negotiate and manage supplier credit terms to optimize working capital.
Propose both short-term and long-term inventory and purchasing strategies in alignment with the company's 3-year strategic objectives.
The Person Good market researching, tactics and negotiation skills.
Team player and good interpersonal skills are imperative.
Self-starter, driven person excellent at planning ahead and highly numerate.
Capable of establishing relationships at senior levels with key suppliers.
A good communicator who will keep management abreast of any supply market dynamics that could impact raw material budgets or supply.
Possess excellent IT skills; proficient in Excel.
This role is an onsite role.
