We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Infection Prevention and Control team in Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care Unit, Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing in the day-to-day management of the home.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Risk Management, Incident Management, and Infection Control, as required.
* Stay up-to-date with recent trends and developments in nursing by engaging in ongoing education and research.
* Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to data protection policies.
* Motivate team members through goal-setting and performance reviews.
* Lead and manage care staff, addressing human resource issues in a fair and professional manner.
* Foster open communication, healthy working relationships, and encourage initiative among team members.
* Ensure delegation of care tasks is appropriate to staff members' levels of experience, competence, and scope of practice.
* Promote a restraint-free environment and implement National Policy guidelines.
* Manage disciplinary and grievance matters in accordance with residential home policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with staff rights, working hours, and responsibilities, adhering to best practice and legislation.
* Provide training on policies and procedures, and ensure staff have up-to-date knowledge and skills to respond to challenging behaviors.
* Train staff on safeguarding residents, whistleblowing, and abuse prevention and response.
* Attend and chair meetings as required, keeping staff informed of developments.
* Implement service and care changes via the Change Management process.
* Maintain accurate statistics of the service provided.
Requirements:
* Nursing Qualification
* Ongoing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
Desirable:
* Postgraduate qualification in Gerontology
* Previous experience in Care of the Elderly
