Our client is a global financial services institution looking to add a permanent Business Analyst to their growing team.
Job Summary
The role focuses on project coordination for the department of our client's European entities. You will work closely with other cross-functional teams and have the opportunity to build an excellent knowledge of our client's wide range of products.
This role will be a key member of a growing team, assisting with the setup and launch of new markets and/or strategies, coordinating across departments, and identifying operational requirements and system changes to support the business.
Responsibilities
* Business Analysis:
o Identify stakeholders of business requests.
o Provide visibility into deliveries.
o Confirm goals and objectives with business and expected delivery timeframe.
o Escalate with stakeholders when other priorities begin to impact the roadmap.
o Work with technology teams to collect requirements satisfying business needs.
o Identify goal & scope (i.e. list of in-scope / out-of-scope items) of a specific project.
o Confirm with stakeholders what criteria will be used to consider the project complete.
o Prepare, monitor, and update project plans for stakeholders.
o Escalate early to stakeholders when issues or risks arise.
o Identify milestones and dependencies on other groups or external parties.
o Coordinate between teams.
o Provide status updates to stakeholders.
o Ownership of delivery of requirements.
Requirements
* A 3rd level degree in a business, finance, or engineering related discipline is desirable.
* Some industry experience within fund accounting, middle office, trade support, settlements is preferred. Supporting projects in these roles is desirable.
* Attention to detail and good organizational skills are essential. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required. Some exposure to VBA/SQL and Python is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are necessary. Ability to interact with all levels and departments within the company.
* Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage workflows and document requirements is beneficial.
* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task is essential.
* Ambitious and self-motivated individual not afraid to ask questions and use own initiative is required.
* Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, including effective troubleshooting in a fast-paced, time-critical environment, are necessary.
* Knowledge of and interest in financial markets is desired.
