Category Sourcing Expert - Construction
You’ll be creating sourcing strategies that help this large company acquire the materials & services they need, at the right price & quality levels. You will develop a sourcing plan & work with internal customers & the external market, looking for new savings opportunities and use this company’s purchasing power & your procurement skills to add value to the organisation.
You will
1. Drive continuous cost savings & revenue generation.
2. Lead global cross-functional technical experts in the development, communication, & approval of sourcing strategies for the services/products.
3. Guide internal business partners through the supplier selection & acquisition process.
4. Negotiate, contract, & manage supplier relationships to meet global organisational needs.
5. Monitor internal customers & supply markets to identify savings, value streams, innovation opportunities, & changes that may impact the sourcing strategy.
6. Have year-on-year financial accountability for category performance by tracking price movements.
7. Work on various projects & handle them all with your expert project management skills.
8. Adapt to tight timelines and collaborate with many different partners.
9. Build rapport with others easily; external suppliers see you as an authentic partner & internal clients see you as a trusted advisor.
10. Understand the delicate balance between cost, efficiency, & quality, recognizing that the efficient solution creates the best outcome for all parties.
You will have:
1. Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
2. Construction manpower and services sourcing experience welcomed.
3. Ideally, you will have experience with SAP Ariba.
4. Project Management of Cross-Functional Teams.
5. Stakeholder Management.
6. Lean Six Sigma experience.
