A global operation is seeking a Production Manager to drive production efficiency in their cutting-edge manufacturing operation.
About the Role
The Production Manager will oversee all operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production standards. They will establish clear performance standards, monitor and measure results, analyze workflow processes, and proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversight of all operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production standards.
* Enforcement of safety policies and maintenance of a safe working environment.
* Ensuring customer requirements and quality standards are consistently met.
* Management of labour resources, reviewing and approving workforce planning and performance.
* Establishment and tracking of key production metrics to monitor plant performance.
* Leadership, support, and management of direct reports, ensuring clear communication of responsibilities.
* Conducting and approving performance evaluations, fostering employee development.
* Investigation of accidents and implementation of corrective actions.
* Oversight of preventive maintenance compliance through facilities systems.
* Monitoring and verification of inventory accuracy for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
* Maintenance of company policies to ensure fair and consistent employee management.
* Compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and GMP standards.
* Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives.
* Management of production performance, including manpower planning and resource allocation.
* Analysis of production data to implement solutions.
* Fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in plastics, medical device, or high volume manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of IQMS beneficial.
* Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
