Job Opportunity: Social Care Service Manager for Children's Mainstream Residential and Aftercare Service
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Care PIC or Deputy Manager to lead our new residential service in Co. Offaly, providing comprehensive care for children and young persons.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire a team while ensuring quality care for service users.
* Create a safe and nurturing environment for children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
* Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances.
* Collaborate with staff for consistent care delivery.
* Monitor and supervise children, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
* Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
* Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with professionals for comprehensive care.
* Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges.
* Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
* Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
Requirements:
* The centre manager must have a minimum QQI level 7 qualification in social care and hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting and 4 years' full time work experience in a social care setting post qualification.
* A professional qualification in Social Work is also considered as suitable, for a centre manager with the requisite 4 years post qualification practice experience and hold or be enrolled in a programme leading to a management qualification suitable for a health or social care setting.
* A recognised qualification in social care will include equivalent social care qualifications from other jurisdictions.

Salary: €54,000 to €57,000 (based on experience) plus €200 per on-call week
