Job Description
Summary:
The role of Wind Turbine Technician involves working with a team to operate and maintain the SSE Renewables fleet. This includes performing scheduled maintenance, fault rectification, and ensuring the turbines are operating at optimum capacity.
Main Responsibilities
* Utilize information from our maintenance management system to perform scheduled maintenance and fault rectification on our fleet of turbines.
* Ensure the fleet is operating at their optimum capacity.
* Deliver wind turbine maintenance for SSE Renewable Operations driven by four key performance measures: SHE, Capability, Quality, and Cost.
Requirements
* A minimum NFQ Level 6 in a Mechanical/Electrical discipline or equivalent, and to have served a recognised apprenticeship/trade.
* Demonstrable experience of servicing, fault finding and repairing of Wind Turbine Generators or the equivalent experience with heavy plant in your current sector.
* A current GWO basic training certification would be highly beneficial, but training can be provided.
* A strong understanding of the application and use of safe systems of work, including working in accordance with Wind Turbine Safety Rules is preferred.
