Overview Our client, a Well known Construction/Facilities Management company is currently looking for a experienced Financial Accountant to form part of their Finance team.
This position will play an integral part in Finance function and work closely with the Financial Controller.
The role will ideally suit someone coming from a similar Industry background who is looking to join a company currently undergoing a period of sustained growth.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of year-end financial statements, ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards, working within the yearly audit process and ensuring completion of any and all relevant statutory requirements Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the Financial Controller in analysing margins, variances and cost analysis.
Identify areas of weakness and develop and deliver on projects to improve the financial efficiency of the company.
Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations.
Handle and oversee full spectrum of financial and cost accounting functions Maintenance and management of the company asset base including fixed assets, leased assets, cash management.
debtors, creditors and retentions etc Responsible for the weekly/monthly/quarterly accounts and preparation of reporting packs.
Ensure effective and robust site financial controls are in place to minimise risk Compile annual returns, monthly management accounts, external reporting, tax compliance (VAT, RCT, RTD), and managing the audit process.
Liaise with Financial Controller, COO, & Heads of Department regularly ensuring output and invoicing is in line with cash flow by project.
Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives and highlighting possible overrun

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, CPA, ACCA) Excellent IT skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems Strong communication Skills Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and excellent numerical skills Good knowledge of accounting regulations.
Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines; Experience using ABM is an advantage Exposure to company secretarial an advantage Experience in the construction industry is an advantage for this role.
