Deputy General Manager
We are seeking a talented Deputy General Manager for a prestigious 4* Hotel in Dublin.
The successful candidate will have previous hotel management experience, with a strong Food & Beverage background supervising the day-to-day running of the hotel and ensuring that with your team you always exceed your guests' expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic direction and leadership to the entire hotel team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
* Hold daily briefings in areas of responsibility to ensure effective communication with department managers.
* Delve exceptional customer service and inspire your team to exceed all guest expectations.
* Forecast business relating to events in the area and oversee operations roster including Duty Managers, Supervisors, Food and Beverage and Conferencing team members.
* Train and mentor staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
* Drive sales initiatives within the property in conjunction with the sales and marketing team.
* Coordinate Health & Safety agenda of the property.
* Cash handling, card transactions, banking and transaction and sales reporting.
* Manage costs efficiently, meeting or exceeding budgetary targets.
Requirements:
* Previous experience managing in a similar role in a large hotel.
* Strong Food & Beverage and restaurant experience.
* Exceptional leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong cost management skills.
* Time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Willing to work a flexible schedule 5 out of 7 days.
