Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Summary:
This is a supervisory role responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring they are carried out in accordance with established processes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in metal fabrication and people management in a technical production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all works are completed in accordance with processes and submit necessary documentation to the Production Manager.
* Plan work activities and allocate resources efficiently.
* Conduct regular risk assessments of workshop activities, equipment, and processes.
* Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring tools, equipment, and expendables are readily available.
* Monitor and report on production progress to stakeholders.
* Liaise with the design department to verify accuracy and completeness of workshop drawings.
* Provide support to fabricators, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to drawing office information.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in metal fabrication and a minimum of 2 years in a people management role within a technical production environment.
* Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in computer applications and able to read detailed technical drawings.
Working Conditions:
This role is primarily based at our offices in Carrigtohill, Co. Cork. Occasional international travel may be required for client meetings. This is a permanent, full-time position.
