Job Description:
Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Clinical Nurse Manager - North Dublin
TTM Healthcare Solutions is partnering with a reputable healthcare group to recruit a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager IPC for their Transitional Care Units in North Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the day-to-day management of the home, working closely with the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing.
* Collaborate as part of the multidisciplinary team, including Risk Management, Incident Management, and Infection Control Teams, as required.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recent trends and developments in infection prevention control.
* Ensure resident confidentiality at all times, adhering to data protection policies.
* Foster open communication, healthy relationships, and encourage initiative among team members.
* Delegation: Direct tasks appropriately, considering staff member experience, competence, and role scope.
* Promote a restraint-free environment, aligning practices with national policy.
* Address disciplinary and grievance matters fairly and professionally.
* Comply with legislation and best practices regarding staff rights and responsibilities.
* Provide training on policies, procedures, and safeguarding residents, whistleblowing, and abuse prevention.
* Attend meetings, update staff on facility developments, and implement change through the Change Management process.
* Maintain accurate statistics on service provision.
Requirements:
* Nursing Qualification.
* Ongoing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
* Postgraduate qualification in Gerontology or previous experience in Care of the Elderly is desirable.
