The ICT Department provides a wide range of ICT services to the staff and Elected Members of Louth County Council and its customers. The IS Analyst will be responsible for the management of the IT support service provided by a team of IS Technical Support Officers and to report on their work. This will include responsibility for proactively developing and expanding the use of the Help Desk system (ManageEngine) utilized by the IT Team, to streamline task workflows.
The successful candidate will be a member of the IS Team and he/she will continually develop, implement, test, support and review the organisation's devices, systems, network and infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime, confidentiality, integrity, security and availability of the network, data, communications, and business systems.
Due to the dynamic nature of ICT and the changing business requirements within the council, all ICT posts require flexibility to work in other IT roles as needs require. The principal duties and responsibilities will be to perform such duties appropriate to the post of IS Analyst that may be assigned by the Head of Information Systems or Project Leader and shall include but not be limited to the following duties:-
SUPPORT IN AREAS SUCH AS:
* Facilitate and support MS 365 and Cloud based technologies
* Support remote working, and hybrid meeting technologies
* Troubleshooting PC’s, Printers, Servers, Systems, Mobile Devices and other peripherals
* Helpdesk service
* Support for existing in-house systems
* Installation of new software
* Manage IS assets including procurement, disposal, support and maintenance
PROJECT TEAMS WORK SUCH AS:
* Management of user hardware ordering and asset management
* User devices operating system upgrades
* Technical design and implementation of new applications and services
* Project meetings and assigned Project task work
* Training and Presentations
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the IS Section’s work program, annual budget and cost control
SYSTEMS ANALYSIS AND DESIGN SUCH AS:
* Corporate Applications including CRM
* SQL based systems
* Data Analytics
* Data integration/warehousing/interfacing operations
OPERATIONS/ADMINISTRATION WORK SUCH AS:
* Printing operations
* Document management and control
* IT Security operations
* Contract and Supplier Management
AND
* Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
