Site Engineers
We are working with our client, a leading Tier 2 main contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to work on a large residential project in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Surveying and Setting Out: Conduct site surveys, set out reference points, and establish benchmarks to guide construction activities accurately.
2. Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and assessments. Address any deviations from project specifications promptly.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of construction activities.
4. Problem Solving: Identify and address engineering issues on-site, proposing solutions and adjustments as necessary.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including site diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
6. Health and Safety: Enforce and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a culture of safety among the project team.
7. Materials Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field desirable.
2. Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
4. Proficient in surveying and setting out using total stations and other surveying equipment.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD and project management software.
