We are hiring Staff Nurse – HDU/ICU into a Private Hospital at Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
* Be familiar with and practice within all policies, procedures and standards set out by the hospital.
* Complete nursing assessment care plans and other relevant documentation. Report verbally and in writing pertinent patient care information to appropriate nursing/medical staff and other clinical staff.
* Liaise with and co-operate with other departments as required and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
* Ensure all documentation relating to patients is accurately maintained in the patient’s medical records in line with policy and procedures, keeping records confidential and using only approved abbreviations.
* Comply with the medications policy ensuring that regulations for the safekeeping and recording of scheduled drugs are adhered to.
* Observe and record signs, behaviours, and symptoms including the physiological status of patients; present the assessment of changes, the proposed revision of interventions, and desired outcomes.
* Perform admission, transfer and discharge procedures, and assist others with patients’ activities and care.
* Execute physician's orders for all assigned patients; properly and safely administer medications and treatments.
* Independently perform duties and assume responsibility for the care of assigned patients.
* Perform techniques and routines in the specialty service area.
* Assist or perform proper aseptic techniques, isolation procedures, and infection control measures.
* Document nursing care in all assigned patient records.
Requirements
* Candidates need to have a valid NMBI PIN and be listed on the Register of General Nurses (NMBI).
* Possess experience working in an acute hospital setting for at least a year after registering.
* Have HDU experience in the UK or Ireland and demonstrate clinical and professional aptitude.
* Possess outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills and be a great communicator.
* Be proficient in both written and spoken English and adopt a flexible work schedule.
* Demonstrate the capacity to collaborate well with a multidisciplinary team.
* Verified education or credentials related to the Advanced Cardiac Life Support Specialty Course.
