We are seeking an experienced Revenue Manager to lead the reservations team at a 4-star hotel in Cork.
Purpose of the Role
To maximize hotel bedroom sales opportunities, we require a passionate hospitality individual to manage the reservation team and process.
Responsibilities
* Manage the reservation team and process to ensure timely completion of duties.
* Monitor and record all telephone and email traffic, and handle reservations accordingly.
* Perform regular checks on future bookings, including weddings and group bookings.
* Work with the Sales team to identify leads and pass them to the appropriate sales person.
* Deal with customer complaints according to company policy.
* Manage no-show and cancellation reservations, and process charges according to hotel policy.
* Understand various market segments, including group, leisure, and transient.
* Compile daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required by the hotel.
* Liaise with housekeeping to ensure guest requests are met.
* Keep the Front Office department informed of promotions and packages for sale.
* Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team for best practice.
* Work with the General Manager to understand and implement rate changes and strategy.
* Familiarize yourself with hotel systems and procedures.
