We are seeking a Head of Purchasing to join our team at {company}, a multinational company based in County Kerry.
This is a permanent, full-time position that requires strong leadership skills and expertise in procurement strategies. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and quality in engineering output.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate purchasing activities at the company level
* Support the Project Manager in defining and implementing the divisional purchasing strategy
* Implement and further develop group-wide and division-wide Material Group Management
* Optimize replenishment times and implement a multi-supplier strategy
* Ensure the availability of materials
* Lead initiatives to reduce material costs
* Manage a team within the Purchasing Department
* Develop and improve purchasing methods and tools
* Take responsibility for purchasing control
* Oversee all purchasing project portfolios
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in procurement management
* Solid understanding of procurement strategies and best practices
* Degree-level education or equivalent relevant qualifications and extensive experience
