Very exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator to join an expanding team in Cork, residing in the health sector.
Reporting to the IT Team Leader, the post holder will work collaboratively with the Group IT Team and be responsible for the management, administration and support of all IT systems and applications.
Some key responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot and resolve all technical system issues ensuring IT systems are maintained and operational at all times.
2. Provide General IT and Systems Administration support across the Group.
3. Monitor and report on the Group 24 hours IT Support Scheme to ensure that it is effective and runs smoothly.
4. Ensure that the IT help desk is run efficiently and effectively.
5. Responsible for minimising system failures and unplanned stoppages.
6. Carry out standard system tasks such as admin, backups, new Citrix builds, data recovery and user admin.
7. Administer hardware and software maintenance and support contracts.
8. Participate in the selection, procurement, installation and maintenance of new IT systems and installations.
9. Project participation on particular systems projects as agreed with the Head of IT Operations.
10. Work with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
11. Review, audit and continuously improve IT protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
12. Work with InfoSec team on any security offences and prioritise resolutions with IT operations.
Desired skills:
1. 3+ years experience as a Systems Administrator
2. Information Security
3. VMware virtualisation.
4. Windows Server
5. Active Directory and O365
6. LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
7. Service Now and ITIL
8. Technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CISSP are desirable.
