Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Zscaler ZPA Engineer to join our IT Networking team at Unum Technology Centre in Carlow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design & Implementation:
o Develop and maintain detailed documentation of the Zscaler environment, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
o Integrate ZPA with existing network and security infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity.
* Monitoring & Management:
o Monitor the performance and security of the ZScaler environment, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
o Implement and manage Zscaler policies, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.
o Conduct regular audits of Zscaler configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
* Troubleshooting & Support:
o Provide Level 2/3 support for ZPA, ZIA, and ZDX related issues, working closely with the IT support team and vendors as needed.
o Troubleshoot complex network and security issues related to ZPA and ZIA and provide effective solutions.
* Collaboration & Communication:
o Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, and application owners to ensure smooth integration and operation of ZPA.
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on Zscaler related projects and issues.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Zero Trust security and Zscaler technologies.
o Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the security and efficiency of the ZPA environment.
Qualifications:
* Education & Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
o 3+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) or similar Zero Trust solutions.
o Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles and cloud-based security technologies.
* Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX), configuration and management.
o Experience with networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.) and security technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
o Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
o Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with network analysis tools.
* Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
* Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
* Additional certifications in network security (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security) are a plus.
