As the CHB Pass Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of service between the kitchen and the front-of-house team.
You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the pass area, ensuring the timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of food to guests.
You will maintain clear communication between the culinary team and service staff while upholding the hotel's luxury standards.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role: Supervise and coordinate all activities at the pass during service.
Ensure food is presented to the highest standard, with correct portions and garnishing, before leaving the kitchen.
Act as the liaison between kitchen brigade and front-of-house team, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
Maintain smooth and efficient workflow during busy service periods, minimizing delays and errors.
Monitor pacing of orders to avoid bottlenecks and ensure exceptional guest dining experience.
Ensure correct food orders are matched with corresponding tables and servers.
Implement and uphold health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the pass area.
Train and mentor junior staff on pass procedures and service etiquette.
Assist the F&B leadership team in managing special requests, dietary requirements, and VIP guest orders.
Conduct pre-service briefings to communicate menu changes, special events, and service focus points.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to address any issues regarding food preparation and presentation.
Monitor stock levels of pass essentials (plates, cutlery, garnishes) and liaise with relevant departments to ensure availability.
Requirements for the role: Previous experience of working in a similar role and/or environment (preferably in a high-end restaurant within the hotel, leisure or hospitality industry would be a distinct advantage) Strong understanding of food presentation standards and F&B service flow.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and HACCP regulations.
Passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
Flexible to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
