We at the Shearwater Hotel & Spa, Ballinasloe have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident Assistant Spa Manager to join us in our award-winning Spa and Beauty Bar, "Shear-Beauty". The successful candidate will have a genuine love for the industry and a passion for delivering the very best services to our loyal client base. Yonka & Image experience is an advantage; however, we will provide full training with these brands.
The successful candidate will:
1. Demonstrate sincere customer focus and true dedication to ensuring a memorable client experience.
2. Develop and implement Spa goals, policies, and procedures.
3. Be responsible for assisting the Spa Manager in leading the efficient and effective Spa operations including short and long-term strategic planning.
4. Maintain adequate professional product program.
5. Maintain retail product program.
6. Maintain pricing integrity and Spa standards.
7. Assist with the annual public relations program; i.e. calendar of events, media, etc.
8. Identify new business and marketing opportunities.
9. Promote and sell customized spa programs to conference groups.
10. In the absence of the Manager, coordinate and allocate duties for each shift and be responsible for ensuring all Spa areas are clean and maintained.
11. Perform department annual employee performance development plans.
12. Conduct biweekly spa employee schedules and department payroll.
13. Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing and promotions, and sales techniques.
14. Establish and maintain a professional business relationship with all vendors.
15. Any other duties which may contribute to the essential running and success of the department.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant therapist qualification is Essential
* CIDESCO Training Essential
* Certificates and Training in products supplied and used in the Spa is essential
* Proven knowledge of costing and budgeting techniques.
* Proven knowledge of ability to analyse and interpret client needs.
* Knowledge of types of treatments and products that are used at the spa
* Knowledge and experience with IT systems is beneficial.
* Experience managing a team of a similar size and in the same area of business is essential.
* Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable.
* Experience with sales and events is required.
