Réalta Technologies are currently working with a major Pharmaceutical client seeking an Automation Engineer with Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal experience to support the site with a Historian roll-out.
We require an Automation Engineer to work on the automation connectivity phase of a site-wide historian roll-out project in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do
Automation Systems
1. Take leadership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from design and test to production.
2. Define, develop and deploy automation projects into client sites.
3. Develop automation requirements and specifications.
4. Update PLC system IP addresses and troubleshoot connection issues.
5. Ensure machine connectivity; connect machines to networks for Historian and other data logging.
6. Conduct equipment control system connectivity assessments.
7. Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.
8. Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.
9. Ensure compliance with client procedures, cGMP, recognized quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
10. Fulfill all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
11. Develop, debug, and validate Control System software programs.
12. Analyze, understand, fault-find, and modify automation software.
13. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
14. Organize, plan, and implement multiple tasks to tight schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
15. Detail own work clearly and accurately.
16. Provide ideas and solutions for the improvement and development of control systems.
Collaboration & Teaming
1. Prioritize projects/tasks in line with customer service requirements & strategic engineering objectives.
2. Embed automation as a core competency in the business.
3. Report to the project manager and site lead on progress.
Experience
What You Will Need:
1. 2-5 years overall industrial experience.
2. Experience in manufacturing, automation, and IT systems.
3. Strong PLC background in Siemens S7.
4. Accustomed to working in a validated environment with strong discipline regarding change management.
5. Good organizational, planning, and prioritization skills; good oral and written communication skills.
Essential Requirements
1. Education Requirements: Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
2. Experience with Siemens Step 7 Simatic Manager and TIA Portal.
