Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Design Engineer at Robotics and Drives in Mullingar. The role involves tasks such as design engineering, machine design, mechanical engineering, product design, and computer-aided design (CAD).
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop innovative mechanical designs based on customer requirements in collaboration with the design team.
2. Create 3D designs for mechatronic equipment, including mechanisms, transfer systems, servo systems, robotics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and machine guarding.
3. Prepare detailed tooling drawings and pneumatic schematics.
4. Manage communication with suppliers for component procurement and customers for project specifications and deliverables.
5. Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, meeting deadlines, and upholding quality standards.
6. Provide technical direction and support to the team, effectively communicating job specifications and day-to-day project developments.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including:
* Involvement in significant automation projects with accountability for design sign-off, installation, and commissioning.
* Extensive experience in machine design roles and 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
1. Proven experience in robotics and automation industries.
2. Project management experience is advantageous.
