Role: Senior MEP Cost Manager – KPMG Construction Advisory

Our services include: Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Mechanical & Electrical Cost Management and Consultancy Services. You will be joining a niche practice area within KPMG, with a team of 50 people and growing.
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
* As a Senior Cost Manager working within the wider team, you will lead and deliver in all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from project inception to completion.
* You will work with an Associate or Director to successfully manage and deliver a number of projects, typically ranging in value from €5m - €500m+.
* You will drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process. Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.
* You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring junior staff to deliver our Cost Management service efficiently and effectively.
Duties Include:
* Feasibility estimates
* Procurement advice
* Ensuring deliverables are produced to high standards and issued on time
* Cost planning and Cash-flow forecasting
* Value and risk management
* Post contract management
* Fee generation
* Supporting and developing team members
* Supports senior staff in ways to make projects more efficient. Seeks ways to improve accuracy and efficiency of tasks.
* Client engagement / Maintain client relationships
What You'll Need To Succeed
* Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
* Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution
* Ability to read and interpret MEP Drawings, Specifications & Schematics
* Understanding of the general MEP Market & Supply Chain
* Understanding a variety of project types/ Data Centres, Life Sciences, Energy & Manufacturing
* Understanding of RIAI and GCCC standard forms of contract
* Experience of preparing bid submissions.
* Prior line-management experience or mentoring
* Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on procurement, cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
* Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
