Site Foreman Location: South Dublin, Ireland Salary: €65,000 - €75,000 per annum Company: Leading Property Developer Job Overview: Our client, a leading property developer based in South Dublin, is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join their team on a major 400-unit apartment development.
The Site Foreman will play a critical role in supervising daily operations on-site, coordinating teams, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards, and ensuring the project runs efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and direct site labour and subcontractors to ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Manage site teams to ensure that work is completed on schedule, including scheduling daily tasks and allocating resources as needed.
Monitor and enforce safety procedures on-site, ensuring all personnel adhere to health and safety guidelines and best practices.
Coordinate with Site Managers and other supervisory staff to ensure that work is progressing as per the project schedule.
Oversee the quality of work being performed by the workforce, ensuring that any defects or issues are addressed immediately.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with the drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Ensure that materials and equipment are available for the work being carried out and that resources are used efficiently.
Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials to the site.
Maintain accurate records of materials used, deliveries received, and equipment on-site.
Take responsibility for the health and safety of all personnel on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety briefings and tool-box talks to ensure the workforce is aware of hazards and safety measures.
Assist with site inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
Keep accurate records of site progress, daily activities, and any incidents or accidents that may occur.
Report regularly to the Site Manager or Project Manager on work progress, potential delays, and any issues or risks on site.
Assist with the preparation of weekly or monthly reports on site performance, manpower, and resources.
Act as the first point of contact for resolving on-site issues, including work delays, resource shortages, and technical challenges.
Ensure that work proceeds without delays, providing solutions to problems as they arise on-site.
Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a foreman or supervisory role within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on residential or large-scale developments.
Strong background in managing site teams, subcontractors, and tradespeople on-site.
Qualifications: A relevant trade qualification (e.g., Carpentry, Bricklaying, Plumbing) or a construction-related qualification is desirable.
