The Internal Auditor Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance the auditing skills of professionals. The role focuses on imparting practical knowledge of internal auditing principles, standards, and methodologies aligned with industry best practices, such as ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training Delivery:
1. Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions on internal auditing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
2. Deliver training programs tailored to specific standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or other relevant frameworks.
3. Provide real-world examples and case studies to enhance understanding and practical application.
2. Course Development:
1. Develop comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, case studies, and exercises.
2. Customize training content to meet the specific needs of the organization or industry.
3. Assessment and Evaluation:
1. Design and administer assessments to measure participants' understanding and retention of course content.
2. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through participant feedback and post-training performance metrics.
4. Consultation and Support:
1. Offer guidance on implementing effective internal audit processes within the organization.
2. Stay updated on changes in relevant standards and regulations to ensure training content remains current.
5. Administration and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant progress.
2. Prepare and submit training reports to management, highlighting outcomes and areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Quality Management, or a related field. Certification in internal auditing (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor) is highly desirable.
2. Experience:
Proven experience as an internal auditor or auditor trainer. Familiarity with various management systems and auditing standards.
3. Skills:
1. Strong communication and presentation skills.
2. Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
3. Analytical and problem-solving skills to address participants' queries effectively.
4. Proficiency in developing and using training tools and technologies.
Work Environment:
1. Training may be delivered in-person or online, requiring adaptability to various platforms.
2. Travel to client sites or training venues may be necessary.
