As a Network Facilities Manager you will play a vital role in our mission to build future-proof networks that empower our clients, businesses and communities alike.
As an integral part of our dynamic Contract Resource team, you’ll be immersed in an environment driven by cutting-edge technology and fuelled by constant innovation.
Based in Limerick, this is a 6-month fixed term contract where you will work with our client to manage the facilities function which supports network. The role will encompass overseeing the day-to-day operations of network facilities, ensuring the reliable functioning of network infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of service provider networking concepts and theory, and experience participating in operational support in a service provider environment. You will lead and mentor a team of network engineers, provide technical guidance, and coordinate related projects to achieve optimal platforms performance and reliability. You must have solid knowledge and understanding of information security principles, protocols, standards, and practices. The Networks Team leader will use this skill set to support solutions to multiple areas of the business. They will report to the Head of Engineering.
What You’ll Do:
* Responsible for our client’s co-location/high site building facilities and grounds maintenance in line with customer and department of communications obligations
* New co-lo/high site/data centre (or existing site expansion) management of design, build and operational handover.
* Develop and maintain systems for performance management plus measure and exceed KPI targets for network facilities
* Ensure that the Preventative Maintenance for our client’s Co-Located sites and Wireless sites via third parties are completed and reported on in accordance with company policies and procedures
o PPM remedies dealt with in a cost effective and timely manner, in line with risk identified of PPM failed item
o Provide reports for the department of communications as required under concession agreement obligations
* Drive End of Life network facilities equipment replacement programs to completion
* Manage and control network facilities budget
* Ensure physical equipment install/decommission to co-lo/high site/data centre sites, including racks, cabling, patching all done with consistently high-quality standards
* Manage our client’s contractors in line with their Health & Safety Management Systems
What You’ll Need:
* A Degree in Electrical Engineering / Level 5 (NFQ) Electrical or similar qualification
* Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
* Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
* Good planning, organisational and time management skills.
* Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
* Experience working on commercial Telecommunication installations & datacentre infrastructure
* Experience working with Telecommunication site power distribution systems, such as Eltek Power products and associated management systems.
* Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
* Good problem solving, presentation and communication
