The successful candidate will have previous hotel management experience, with a strong Food & Beverage background supervising the day-to-day running of the hotel and ensuring that with your team you always exceed your guests’ expectations.

Requirements of the Deputy General Manager
1. Previous experience managing in a similar role in a large hotel
2. Strong Food & Beverage and restaurant experience
3. Exceptional leadership skills
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Strong cost management skills
6. Time management and organisational skills
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. Willing to work a flexible schedule 5 over 7 days
Responsibilities of the Deputy General Manager
9. Along with the General Manager, provide strategic direction and leadership to the entire hotel team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
10. To hold daily briefings in areas of responsibility to ensure effective communication with department managers
11. Delivering exceptional customer service and inspiring your team to exceed all guest expectations
12. Forecasting of business relating to events in the area and overseeing an operations roster to include Duty Managers, Supervisors, Food and Beverage and Conferencing team members.
13. Training and mentoring of staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling
14. Driving sales initiatives within the property in conjunction with the sales and marketing team
15. Co-ordinating the Health & Safety agenda of the property
16. Cash handling, card transactions, banking and transaction and sales reporting
17. Management of costs efficiently, with the ability to meet or exceed budgetary targets
