Eligibility
Kildare County is seeking to establish a panel of Road Safety and Sustainable Transport Officer to fill permanent and contract posts that arise during the life of the panel.
Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms:
1. Have a university degree (Level 7 or higher) in: engineering, town planning, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, transport planning, quantity surveying, project management or equivalent;
2. Have at least 3 years relevant experience in an equivalent or similar role;
3. Have significant knowledge of Road Traffic and Road Safety Legislation and relevant National and International road safety strategies;
4. Have substantial knowledge of National and Regional Climate Action Strategies and their implementation plans;
5. Have significant experience of working with a variety of different levels of Stakeholders.
6. Demonstrate significant experience in the development of projects from concept to development to delivery stage.
7. Have excellent research capability, analytical skills and presentation skills.
8. Have excellent communications and business report writing skills with demonstrated evidence of robust IT literacy (i.e., MS Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Driving Licence
Applicants should at the date of applying hold a full valid Irish /EU licence, for Class B vehicles. They must be a competent driver and, shall drive a car in the course of their duties and for this purpose provide and maintain a car to the satisfaction of the local authority.
