The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in the company's sales and business development strategy. This role focuses on expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth in the designated region.Key responsibilities: Build and manage a portfolio of accounts through targeted business development and leveraging existing networks. Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities using methods such as telemarketing, direct mail, and personal solicitation. Provide consultative services to prospective clients, tailoring solutions to their specific needs. Collaborate with the Ireland sales team to develop and implement strategies that drive profitability and growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, escalations, and account management. Regularly submit sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline reports, utilizing CRM tools like Salesforce. Drive business performance by maintaining and expanding relationships in key markets. Maximize profitability through proactive reviews and identification of growth opportunities. Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients by collaborating with operational teams to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Address any operational or financial issues post-sales closure, ensuring smooth client transitions. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge. RequirementsRequirements: Minimum education: Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Proven sales and business development track record, ideally in the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). Full driving licence and flexibility to travel within the region. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently.
