SCOPE &
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To be accountable for the coordination of all events in the hotel; working with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure all opportunities are maximized; ensuring exceptional customer care is achieved at all times and to maintain standards in your area in order to facilitate the smooth running of the operation.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
O To deputize for the Director of Sales & Marketing in her absence O Responsible for delivering and exceeding customer expectations both on the telephone and in person O To ensure a timely and accurate response to all customer enquiries, providing information, quotations, proposals and contracts for conferences, banqueting events, weddings etc.
O Sales responsibilities involving showing potential customers around the hotel and upselling every department therein, looking out for new business avenues by cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots etc O Preparing and maintaining administrative documentation with respect to events, implementing proper filing procedures, and ensuring computer system is updated and accurate at all times O Maximizing yield from C&B business through upselling of other departments, i.e.
lunches, dinners, room rates etc O Ensuring that there is adequate sales information available by having C&B packs ready for distribution O Coordinate wedding arrangements with bride and groom including initial tour of hotel and grounds, reception plans, proposals and quotations O Liaising with clients on all aspects of their business with Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel and following up where necessary O This is a client facing a proactive and reactive sales and events position that is responsible for targeting new rooms and event accounts and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to retain and develop the business in the local market.
O To drive new accounts in local area for accommodation, events, and F&B areas.
O Development and maintenance of a C&B contact database O To be flexible in terms of working hours as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing O To attend Hotel Meetings as required, ensuring effective communication at all levels.
O To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Licensing and Employment, ensuring that members of the Team are trained and aware of these requirements.
