Job Description:
MSC provides critical supplies to the clinical, life science, and pharmaceutical industries in Ireland. Support and maintenance is offered on all equipment sold. Due to continued expansion, MSC has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with a strong background in installing, maintaining, and supporting clinical diagnostic analysers.
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and follow-up support and service for clinical diagnostic analysers located throughout the island of Ireland. As a result, willingness to travel will be critical, and there will also be a requirement, on occasion, for overnight stays. This role involves extensive travel to customer sites, so the successful candidate should ideally be based within 90 minutes' driving distance of Cork city centre, allowing for effective coverage of key regions in the south-west, mid-west, and parts of the midlands.
Duties and Responsibilities:

2. Installation, maintenance, testing, and repairing equipment.
3. Troubleshooting minor software problems and upgrading firmware.
4. Providing training to customers.
5. Ensuring product and service quality achievement.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with our customers.
7. Promoting and growing the service business of MSC.
8. Cooperating with MSC Sales Team to identify and progress opportunities for the sale of new equipment.
Attributes:

Essential:
1. Qualification (NFQ/QQI Level 6 or above; EQF Level 5 or above) in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering or related discipline.

3. Current passport and willingness to travel abroad for product training.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and manage own workload.
6. Excellent IT skills.
Desirable: Experience with clinical diagnostics instruments in the Irish clinical market.
