The team is made up of three dedicated professionals who manage a wide range of dynamic activities from creating engaging campaigns to running exciting competitions.

About the Role
The Business Development Officer will work as part of the Marketing and Business Development team, reporting to the Department Head. The role involves data analysis, networking, public presentations, staff coaching, and attracting new members and business for the credit union.
Key Responsibilities
* Analysis of the common bond and membership demographics to identify market segments and create targeted engagement models.
* Developing a suite of activities to connect with target groups, building loyalty and member participation.
* Representing the credit union at industry events, conferences, and professional gatherings to build relationships, promote services, and identify new business opportunities.
* Supporting marketing efforts by contributing to campaigns and activities.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the marketing and business development plan for the credit union.
Requirements
* 3+ years experience in a results-driven business development role, ideally within financial services.
* Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent.
* Data analytics experience an advantage.
* Familiarity with financial services products, including personal banking, mortgage, SME/Agri, or wealth management.
* Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
* Experience in dealing with external providers and representative bodies.
* Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to provide practical solutions to key business aims.
* Good IT skills, with experience of CRM an advantage.
