Manages and is responsible for General Ledger Accounting, in connection with the Company’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Limerick, Ireland and its Ex-US entities.
Please note this is a 12 month contract position and the successful candidate will be required to work onsite 4.5 days per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Maintaining the financial ledgers and accounting processes. Reviews and manages the financial aspects of the Company’s Oracle system.
* Completing month-end close accounting for payroll, new Lease standard and management of the monthly/quarterly accruals and prepayments process.
* Actively participating in analysing and monitoring operational performance through the monthly accounts and KPI’s and following up with internal stakeholders.
* Providing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Completing revenue recognition activities / tasks on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis such as: record sales by legal entity and location, record GTN (gross to net) adjustments for rebates, clawback agreements etc.
* Maintaining GTN files by country. Liaison with Finance and Commercial teams on GTN assumptions, record cash receipts and discounts, reconciliation of sales and AR data, ensure revenue recognition is compliant with corporate policy and US GAAP, provide and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis for related AR accounts, Provide commentary for accounting leadership team and others on monthly fluxes in revenue.
* Developing internal controls and procedures, and ensuring internal controls are designed and operating effectively in compliance with the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
* Developing and improving systems and controls on an ongoing basis.
* Aiding in the development of financial policies and procedures.
* Supporting the internal statutory team to ensure smooth audit processes and timely responsiveness to auditor requests and statutory timelines for Ex-US entities.
* Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and timely responsiveness to auditor requests.
* Liaising with the Company’s corporate accounting department to ensure that all group requirements are met.
* Completing CSO reporting in a timely manner.

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a professional Accountancy qualification with 3+ years post qualification experience. Relevant experience ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment. Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment would be an advantage. Knowledge of Oracle Systems and exposure to US GAAP a distinct advantage.
