Medforce are delighted to announce we are recruiting motivated, creative and hard-working Occupational Therapists to join a highly renowned Adults’ Mental Health Service in Mullingar.
The Occupational Therapy Team in the Adults Mental Health Services is a dynamic and expanding community-based service. Focused on supporting adults with mental health conditions, Occupational Therapists provide tailored interventions to help individuals overcome barriers and engage in meaningful activities (occupations) that enhance their quality of life.
This is a full-time, 35 hour week spread across Monday – Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments to identify clients’ functional abilities, needs, and goals.
* Develop and implement individualised intervention plans tailored to older adults.
* Utilize therapeutic activities to enhance cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being.
* Provide support and education to clients, families, and caregivers.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver holistic care.
* Participate in service development initiatives and community outreach programs.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
* Experience working in mental health or with older adults is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of age-related mental health conditions and therapeutic approaches.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are essential.
