About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director - Project Manager to join our team based in Dun Laoghaire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented and growing team who have built an impressive portfolio of construction projects across Ireland and the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with contracts and governance arrangements
* Manage project budgets, programmes, and briefs, monitoring expenditures and costs through liaison with the Project Management Team
* Appoint Contractors/Consultants to projects and manage their delivery to agreed quality, programme, and budget levels
* Coordinate all contractual requirements throughout the project process
* Manage risks to successful project outcomes and third-party contributions
* Communicate with stakeholders and ensure project controls, including scheduling, risk management, reporting, etc.
* Review work methods and materials to maximize commercial profitability
* Report on financial, programme, and construction milestones to partners
* Attend industry events and prepare fee proposals and bid submissions
* Lead staff retention and recruitment, marketing, and business development efforts
Requirements:
* Degree and/or qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction/Project Management
* 12 years of experience as a Project Manager working with an established Practice/Business
* Chartered status
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong MS Office skills
* Excellent programming skills
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* Solid technical appreciation regarding construction documentation/methodologies
* Excellent professional presentation and communication skills
* Excellent commercial awareness
