An Post HR Business Partners (HRBPs) are trusted advisors to the business, who understand the business strategy and drive the business agenda. They support Senior HRBP managers to develop the people plan and play a key role in conducting local ER / IR processes and ensuring consistent high quality HRBP support is provided across An Post.
While the HR office location is in Galway, the location of the successful candidate is flexible given that the HRBP will provide support to a significant geographical area. Ability to drive, and access to a car is a requirement for the role. We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful HR team!
Responsibilities:
1. Establish trusted, credible relationships with middle management and support the business on talent and organisational needs.
2. Support senior HRBP managers to develop the people plan and provide advisory support on local ER issues to wider HRBPs and business teams / line managers e.g. support drafting written warnings.
3. Provide updates to ER Centre of Excellence on disciplinary cases and conduct local IR / ER processes e.g. disciplinary investigations.
4. Conduct disciplinary investigations, record local disciplinary sanctions in HRMS and prepare disciplinary paperwork.
5. Support implementation of general HR initiatives (e.g. regulatory changes, digital innovation, new talent practices, other) and oversee policy and process changes and implementation in the business.
6. Own and drive key talent development activities within the regions / business area.
7. Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure consistent high quality HR services are delivered across An Post.
8. Rollout/train and communicate policy changes to local managers.
9. Support the talent team with talent acquisition by conducting interviews and joining panels for region-based roles.
10. Support data and reporting analysis, working collaboratively with HR Ops to develop workforce insights and understand trends across relevant function / business area.
11. Act as a champion for HR Operations and act as a point of escalation for employee queries (Tier 3) where required.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have a degree in Human Resource Management. Full or partial CIPD qualification or equivalent experience in specialist field would be a distinct advantage.
You should have experience partnering with the business, resolving grievances and/or employee relations disputes. Proven experience in HR service delivery with an ability to present data and recommendations in a meaningful way is essential.
