The role:
We are looking for a qualified Teacher of Design to join as an MYP Design Teacher, where your focus will include:
Delivering innovative and engaging Design lessons that inspire students to develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in line with the MYP curriculum.
Encouraging students to utilise a wide range of tools and technologies, fostering skills in both traditional and contemporary design methods.
Collaborating with colleagues to create interdisciplinary units of inquiry that integrate Design with other subject areas.
Supporting students in developing their own design projects, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement throughout the creative process.
Leading or supporting extracurricular design-related activities, such as robotics clubs, coding workshops, or design competitions.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
A recognised teaching qualification and experience teaching Design at the MYP level.
A strong understanding of the IB curriculum, with a focus on the principles and practices of Design education.
Proficiency in various design tools and technologies, including digital design software, and the ability to teach their application effectively.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
A passion for fostering creativity and innovation in students, preparing them for challenges in an ever-changing world.
