We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support a Medical Device client on a 12-month contract.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will develop processes, design tools, program machines, optimize layouts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. They will provide technical expertise to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance while implementing new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process Development & Optimization: Identify and implement improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles. Conduct process validations, root cause analyses, and problem-solving initiatives.
">
* Technical Support & Equipment Management: Design tools and fixtures, support equipment acquisition and validation, and assist with machine programming and maintenance. Perform gage design and measurement system analysis.
">
* Project & Compliance Management: Lead or support engineering projects, ensuring timelines, cost tracking, and status reporting. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
">
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with teams across manufacturing, quality assurance, finance, and product development. Serve as a liaison with vendors for tooling and contracted products.

* Documentation & Reporting: Author technical documents, including standard operating procedures, validation protocols, and inspection procedures. Prepare reports and present findings to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

* Experience: 2-4 years in manufacturing or engineering, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices). Six Sigma or Lean certification is a plus.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab, CAD software, and various measuring instruments. Strong troubleshooting and project management abilities.
