Job Summary
The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Engineer to deliver and support data center building automation systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
Responsibilities
* Deployment of data center controls, on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO)
* Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation
* Service and support provided to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events Resolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations procedures
About This Role
As a CDS Engineer, you will work with various teams at Amazon, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering. You will be responsible for deploying and servicing building automation systems, ensuring the health of our data centers.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience building unified automated control systems for enterprise-level clients
* Ability to understand PID loop tuning, feedback theory, and industry-standard programming languages
* Project management experience, including managing scope, schedule, cost, stakeholder expectations, vendor/sub-contractors, and multiple concurrent deliverables
* Critical environments experience, preferably in data centers or other critical environments
* Electrical or mechanical controls systems experience
* Controls construction or service experience
* Controls technology experience, particularly in Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Industrial Protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LON
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or related project management certification
