Supplier Quality Engineer – Medical Devices
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing world-class supply chain processes in a low-volume, high-complexity, multi-technology environment.
Your Role:
* Manage supplier quality to ensure the delivery of high-standard components for diagnostic instrumentation
* Conduct supplier performance reviews and key quality metric reporting
* Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), driving root cause investigations and corrective actions
* Provide hands-on support to the Purchased Material Inspection (PMI) team, offering technical expertise in component and mechatronic inspection
* Oversee technology transfers and new projects, including supplier assessment and selection
* Develop and refine quality systems, including SOPs and technical reporting
* Work closely with external suppliers to ensure compliance with First Article, Quality, and Regulatory requirements
What You Need:
* Three or more years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or a related field
* Degree or diploma in quality management, mechatronics, electronics, or mechanical engineering, or relevant experience
* Strong expertise in: Mechanical, mechatronic, and electromechanical measurement systems
* Inspection methodologies including fabricated and machined metal, plastics, and non-contact measurement
* Geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
* Supplier audits to ISO 9004:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 standards
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and Lean principles is a plus
