The Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing both in-house and third-party training programs that address the unique challenges of technology professionals.
This role focuses on enhancing technical skills, fostering innovation, and ensuring that employees remain up to date with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies in the rapidly evolving IT sector.
The L&D Specialist will also be responsible for managing relationships with external training providers, ensuring that third-party programs meet organizational standards and complement internal learning initiatives.

Responsibilities: Needs Assessment:Work closely with department heads and business leaders to identify training needs based on organisational goals and strategies.Develop required training for each role across the business.Analyse current employee skills and knowledge to identify gaps and develop tailored training solutions, both in-house and with third-party providers.Career Development for IT Employees:Develop personalized development plans and career paths for employees, focusing on both technical and soft skills to support career progression.Third-Party Training Program Management:Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with external training providers to supplement internal training programs.Oversee the scheduling and delivery of third-party training programs and ensure they are integrated seamlessly with in-house training efforts.Leverage e-learning platforms for scalable training and track employee progress effectively.Work with department heads to design and implement IT-specific training programs focusing on technical skills, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
Ensure training materials are up-to-date and relevant to industry best practices.Report on the impact of learning initiatives to senior leadership and continuously improve programs based on feedback and performance data.Compliance and Certifications:Track and maintain records of employee certifications and ensure employees meet the necessary criteria for compliance.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).5 years of experience in a learning and development role within the IT industry.Experience managing third-party vendor relationships and overseeing external training programs.Relevant IT certifications and/or L&D certifications are a plus.In-depth understanding of IT roles and technical skills a plus.Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management.Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.Analytical mindset for evaluating training effectiveness and vendor performance.At Nostra, we value our people.
